Why I Coach

"Coaching golfers and witnessing their improvement gives me great satisfaction."

I had a very good experience as a junior golfer at my own club, where the professional took real care of us and inspired me to become one myself. Golf clubs are the environment I feel most comfortable in — relaxed, outdoors, surrounded by good people.

There's no sell-by date on a PGA coach. I can work anywhere in the world, and now, online too.

The Journey

From Paris weekends to PGA Professional.

I first coached at 18, at my golf club in Paris, on weekends. In 1996 I left Paris to start my PGA Coaching apprenticeship at Cork Golf Club in Ireland, qualifying in March 2000 — with no prior connections and very basic English.

I had the privilege of coaching juniors and lady beginners first, before specialising in mid-handicap and single-figure golfers. Along the way I trained to become an expert in TPI physical screening for golfers, Trackman launch monitor data, and in-depth video swing analysis — learning from top coaches how to help golfers make the right changes for faster results.

Coaching Philosophy

Facts, not gut feelings.

Early in my career I was exhausted most days, and coaching golf felt genuinely hard. I realised I needed a great coach myself — someone to teach me how to be a better coach and get real results for every student.

I now run a systematic approach: I gather the relevant information from students before their lesson, so I'm prepared on the day. I've mastered video swing analysis and how to read launch monitor data, so decisions are based on facts rather than gut feelings.

I only make the changes that are actually necessary — find the root cause, apply the simplest solution. Every student leaves with a video swing analysis summary, detailed practice instructions, and drill videos. Between lessons, students have access to the Onform app to ask questions and send swings for feedback. The more we stay in touch, the better the results.
